DISC profiling

i just did a DISC profiling at work as part of our continuing professional development - it's supposed to help understand and evaluate myself, and i must say it's about 70-80% accurate =)

for those of you who're not sure what DISC is, check out wiki's brief description.

anyway. i'm 34% Dominant, 73% Influence, 65% Steadiness, and 59% Compliance, which basically makes me 231% DISCo.

i must be reading the results wrong somehow. :P

anyway, i'm a Communicator/Planner and my primary trait is Open (as opposed to Assertive, Controlled and/or Passive).

it goes on to say that i'm friendly, patient, sociable and steady person who values attention and support and seeks approval and avoids isolation and change.

i am suffering from some stress but this is relatively low and i am sufficiently assertive and resilient enough to deal effectively with this stress and even apply it as a source of motivation.

man, i like what i'm hearing so far.

ha ha ha.

the further notes say that i enjoy the positive attention of others, am very much at ease when meeting new people. extrovert and outgoing, i place happiness and personal fulfilment above purely material considerations and work best on a social level, rather than in a position where accuracy and precision are required.

in my general dealings with other people, i will prefer to avoid conflict, but when placed under intense pressure i may react strongly.

advantages are that i am open to other people and build effective relationships quickly and easily. i am outgoing and frank, and i have a real desire to enjoy other people's company and work especially well when communicating ideas and intentions.

disadvantages are... not gonna tell u hahahahaha

got a lot more la, but i think v boring to read all about me me mememememememememe.

i wonder what Jesus' personality is.

it's probably 100000% L - love.

heh.

HAHAHA, EXACTLY what we thought

me and kevin discussed your profiling some time back and we agreed on IS hahaha...

the C in your profile is probably due to the fact that you are taking the test at work, Insurance has many conditions to fulfil with all the checks and conditions, also you need to explain in great detail about the polices plus filing is so EXACT, not unlike LAW,

that explains why you have a C...

same for me, I am usually a ID, but work wise I am forced to take on a C role... as a manager no choice

erm may, join manulife? the test is free for manulife financial planners hahahah

but seriously, i'm not sure how else to take the test. maybe u can try searching online, but so far the free analyses i've seen online are pretty basic, not that comprehensive. but at least they can give u an outline or an idea. indepth analysis is available at a price of course

the biggest disadvantage of being a High 'I' is fear of rejection
