I just chanced upon this moving article from an Israeli citizen... although he's talking about events that happened last year, I still think it's good to know what's going on over there, not just what the mainstream media reports, but how people actually feel. because what is really important is not the country, but its heartbeat, the people.

I watched these two videos and I almost cried at the greatness and the power of the Lord, and His all encompassing love. the conviction of Immaculee is so contagious, and her story is so inspiring. I pray that you will be moved just as I was moved... and that your desire to know the Lord shall increase day by day.

Israel vacation pics
Not sure how to upload pics, so you can view our Israel vacation pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/inrsoul. Anyone can view them, you don't have to sign up/login. Kevin hasn't got around to putting captions on the pics; you may recognise some of the places from NatGeo documentaries, as for the others, maybe just enjoy the beautiful scenery :p
We used a basic and inexpensive digital camera, yet many of the pics are good quality. The air is very clear there and the light is good for photography. One of Kevin's PS teammate said it's because Israel is (in) the centre of the world?
Certainly it's a fascinating place. I HATE travelling, but I felt oddly at home there, and according to Deacon Matthew (our tour leader), it's not unusual to feel that way.
I hope you'll feel more excited and anticipatory about your upcoming trip to Israel in Feb 2008 after viewing our pics :)

Chicken or the Egg?
heh....i've been listening to "From the inside out" the whole day. Was in the meeting room by myself blasting the song and singing along when my boss came in. heehee...i love that song!
Anyway piece of interesting news. So which came first? the chicken or the egg?Was listening to 98.7fm this morning and the DJ said its the chicken cos its stated in the bible. So I searched it up and here it says in Genesis 1:24.
And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so.
So there you are..God made the chicken first and not eggs.

wonder if any of you heard of the personal promise bible? basically it takes the promises of the bible and personalises it to your name so that when you read it, it's like the Lord is whispering these promises into your very own ear. it's something that pastor encourages us to do, taking the love of God and magnifying it and focussing it upon ourselves.
the sun's light on its own is very beneficial to everyone generally, it helps plants to grow, makes us feel warm, dries our clothes, etc.. but light focussed into laser beams can operate on eyes, cut steel, freeze objects, kill ants... you get the picture =) how much more can we accomplish knowing that the power of God's love is focussed into a tight laser beam in our spirit man?
Rom. 8:37 Nicholas is more than a conqueror in Christ.
No, in all these things, Nicholas is more than a conqueror through Him who loved him.
II Cor. 2:14 Nicholas is led triumphantly by Christ.
But thanks be to God, who always leads Nicholas in triumph in Christ, and reveals through Nicholas the sweet aroma of His knowledge in every place.
Eph. 2:5-6 Yu Zhen has been made alive with Christ and she is seated with Christ in the heavenly places.

Weddings
hi everyone
just spoke to my friend who shared with me a wonderful testimony... it's so amazing how the Lord is so faithful in their lives.
my friend's getting married next year. financially speaking, they're not very well off as her boyfriend's just starting a new career and she just tendered her resignation.... so naturally speaking they're in no state to get hitched, right? well, the Lord's greater than any natural circumstances!
recently they entered a lucky draw by Her World Brides, and they won a free bridal package! that means that whole package is paid for, from photography to gowns to everything, and the way she was describing it, you could really see the fingerprints of God all over it.
firstly, it was a miracle how they picked the winning coupon... they just threw one huge bunch of entries into the air and picked out hers out of thousands by random - i'm pretty sure her angel kelong one. haha =P secondly, her wedding coordinator and photographer both share her surname! (such a coincidence eh) thirdly, the photographer was someone that she really wanted to use (and she told God about it last year) but thought that she could never afford him because of his rates... and now she's getting that same photographer in the package! i'm awestruck at the goodness of our God.
she still has a lot of things to settle for her wedding, like, getting a home and stuff, but i'm very sure that all these things will fall into place in good time. it's so like our Father to be generous in every way.. i'm so blessed by her sharing, hope u guys are blessed too =)
btw this is her photographer's website if you're kpo...he just spent 100k renovating his new studio at mount emily... apparently it's v nice haha - www.chrisling.com

now that we're back from Malacca, its time to plan for our next trip!! the travel bug in me is itching again.
After calculating my annual leave yesterday, I realised that I still have 6 days to clear after minusing days that I've already plan to travel. 6 days leh...woohoo...means I can afford another 2 trips.
Anybody interested? Genting, Cameron Highlands, Perhentian, want to bless me to go Maldives also can. haha...
p/s: just took my passport pics and I look FAT! grrr....please agree with me in prayer that my chubby cheeks will disappear!
